Family Devastation: Teen Sent Home with Headache Diagnosed with Inoperable Brain Tumour

The family of a teenager who was sent home from school with a headache have been shattered by the news of his inoperable brain tumour diagnosis. Shocking Discovery

Callum Stone, 15, was collected from school on January 20 after complaining of a sore head. After being picked up by his stepdad, it soon became clear that something more serious was wrong. He suffered a seizure and was rushed to hospital where he spent a week undergoing tests and scans. The initial tests pointed to a possible viral infection. Given Callum's age, he was scheduled for a follow-up MRI at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. On January 31, the family received the devastating news that he had a large brain tumour. Cancer Diagnosis

A few days later, Callum underwent surgery to take a biopsy of the tumour. On February 11, Sarah-Jane, Callum's mom, shared the heartbreaking news that the tumour is cancerous and inoperable due to its diffuse nature. Callum has been undergoing daily radiotherapy at UCLH Teenage Cancer Centre in London and taking daily chemotherapy tablets. Chemotherapy will continue in cycles, but there are currently no other treatment options available to him on the NHS. Hope for Callum

Callum is described as a funny, kind, and loving boy who is a brilliant big brother to his siblings. The family is now raising funds to give Callum the best chance with alternative treatment options, including pioneering immunotherapy available abroad. They believe there is hope for Callum and appreciate any support towards his treatment. Donations can be made to Callum's fundraiser via the provided link.
