Arrests Made After Man Found Unconscious in Coleraine

Two arrests have been made after a male was found unconscious in the street in a Co Derry town over the weekend, police say.

A PSNI spokesperson said a male was found unconscious in the James Street area of Coleraine, following an assault believed to have occurred around 11pm on Saturday. Two arrests have been made and police in the Causeway Coast and Glens policing district have issued an appeal for information.

Appeal for Information

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: 'Police in Coleraine are investigating an assault that has occurred around 11pm on Saturday 8th March whereby a male was located unconscious in the James Street area of Coleraine. Two persons have been arrested and are assisting with our enquiries. It is believed they have been in licensed premises prior to this incident close by prior to the incident.'
