Community Mourns Loss of Beloved One-Year-Old in Tragic Accident

Tributes have been paid following the death of a one-year old child in a tragic accident in Co Tyrone.

The baby girl has been named locally as 15-month-old Emily Whinnery, who sadly died suddenly on Sunday.
Emergency Response
Emergency services attended the scene of a sudden death at a property in Cookstown on Sunday afternoon. Police and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, including the Air Ambulance, attended the scene in the Burnvale Crescent area of Cookstown on March 9. Images from the area showed the charity Air Ambulance in the nearby Fairhill Road area.
Community Support
Moving tributes have poured in for the little girl since news of the tragedy emerged. People offered prayers and heartfelt condolences for the family in this difficult time. UUP councillor Trevor Wilson described the community as being in a state of shock following the terrible tragedy, expressing hope for support for the grieving family.

Emily is described as beloved Daughter, much adored Sister, loving Granddaughter, and cherished Niece. The family notice stated, 'Forever loved and missed by the entire Whinnery, Holdsworth, Donaghy, and Gordon Family Circle. The smallest of feet have the power to leave big and everlasting footprints on our hearts.'
