Rapid Response: Teen Arrested After Newry Crash Sends Two to Hospital

Police Appeal for Witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision near Newry on Sunday night that left two people in the hospital. Officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on the Forkhill Road in the Cloughoge area at around 10.20 pm yesterday evening, Sunday, June 8.

Arrest Made & Road Reopened
The male driver and female passenger of one of the vehicles were taken to the hospital for treatment. An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving offenses, including failing to stop at an accident, and remains in custody. The Forkhill Road, closed after the crash, has since reopened.
