Brutal Stabbing Incident Shocks Co Down Residents

Police have made two arrests following the report of a stabbing in Co Down on Friday evening.

Investigation Details
Detective Sergeant McCartan said shortly before 7.45pm last night, police received a report that a man had been stabbed with a blade in the Dundrum Road area of Newcastle. The victim, aged in his late teens, sustained a number of stab wounds to his face and head.

Arrests Made
Two males, one aged in his teens, and one aged in his 20s, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. They remain in custody at this time, assisting with police enquiries.
