Woman Identified in North Belfast Murder Case

A woman found dead at her home in North Belfast has been named as Marie Green. In a statement issued by police on Tuesday evening, they confirmed that the deceased was aged 71.

PSNI Confirms Murder Investigation

Ms Green was found at her home on the Shore Road late on Monday night. Earlier today the PSNI confirmed they have launched a murder investigation following the death. One man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. In their latest statement, the PSNI mentioned that detectives have named the deceased as Marie Green, aged 71, who was sadly pronounced dead in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Appeal for Information

Detective Inspector Jennifer Rea said, "My thoughts are with Marie’s family and loved ones who are left trying to come to terms with their tragic loss. A man, aged 31, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody at this time. Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances, and I am appealing to anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact detectives on 101.
