Heartwarming Tribute: Teen's Unforgettable Night at School Formal

A Banbridge teenager was overjoyed to be able to make her school formal during her cancer treatment in what was a night to remember for her family and friends as they pay tribute to cherished Sarah Eakin following her passing.
Fond Memories
Sarah Eakin passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 7, following a battle with cancer, with her being described as a young girl who was 'beautiful inside and out' who had a love for life and a kind heart. A post on James Minnis & Sons Funeral Directors said: 'Sarah 7th June 2025 aged 16 years, peacefully surrounded by her loving family atThe Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children, late of Ballymoney Road Banbridge.'

Sweet Reunion
In the months prior to her passing, Sarah had been wanting to attend her school formal at Dromore High School and while there was some uncertainty she would make it on the night, she was thrilled to be able to go alongside her friends and have a wonderful evening of fun.
