Rugby Stars Initiate Creative Yarn Art Campaign for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025

Red Roses Campaign to Engage Fans

England Rugby stars Abby Dow and Tatyana Heard have launched a creative initiative to inspire the next generation of female rugby players and fans. The campaign involves creating yarn art displays across the country, showcasing rugby-themed crochet and knitting pieces in support of the Red Roses' World Cup journey.

Encouraging Community Participation

Dow and Heard invite fans of all ages to contribute to the project by downloading crochet patterns from the England Rugby website. The initiative aims to bring together communities and promote women’s rugby through a shared love of crafting and sports fandom.

National Unveiling in August

Submitted creations will be assembled by dedicated volunteers for a national Yarn Art unveiling in early August. The event is part of the RFU's efforts to engage female players and create a lasting legacy leading up to the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.
