World Leaders and Mourners Honor Pope Francis at Vatican City Funeral

Pope Francis I's funeral takes place this morning in front of millions, with tens of thousands of people - including Michelle O'Neill, Donald Trump, Keir Starmer and dozens of world leaders - attending in person and viewers around the world tuning in on television and live stream.

Proceedings officially begin at 10am local time (9am BST) and are expected to last several hours, with the service at St Peter's Basilica before the body moves to St Mary Major basilica. The late Pontiff's simple burial wishes include a wooden coffin and a smaller tomb at St Mary Major.
