Urgent Police Appeal Following Hit and Run in Newry

Police have issued a specific appeal for information after a hit and run crash in Newry.
Details of the Incident
At around 4.20pm on Monday, March 10, it was reported to police that a blue Ford Fiesta car was pulling out of the chapel car park at the top of the Dublin Road, when it was struck by another vehicle. Due to shock, the driver of the Fiesta was unable to get details of the colour or make of the other vehicle.
Police Appeal
Police have issued an appeal for information to track down the other car involved in the hit and run.
PSNI Statement
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police in Newry are appealing for witnesses to a Hit and Run Road Traffic Collision which occurred today, 10/03/2025 at approximately 1620 hours on Dublin Road, Newry. It is reported that a blue Ford Fiesta that was pulling out of the chapel car park at the top of the Dublin Road was struck by another vehicle. "Unfortunately due to shock the driver of the Fiesta was unable to get the colour/ make or model of the other vehicle. We are appealing for anyone that can assist in identifying the make or model of the non stop vehicle. If you can assist please contact police quoting reference 1563 of 10/03/2025."
