Convicted Sex Offender Avoids Jail Time for Possessing Indecent Images of Children

A convicted sex offender was today handed a four month sentence suspended for two years for having child pornography.

Background
Former civil servant Peter Joseph Crawford, 49, of Rosemount Gardens in North Belfast, had previously pleaded guilty to three offences of possessing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children. The charges stated that he possessed seven Category C images on dates between June 10, 2018 and June 23, 2021.
