Urgent Warning: Keep Children Clear of Abandoned West Belfast School After Arson Incident

Parents have been urged to keep their children away from a disused school following an arson attempt at the weekend.

Corpus Christi College Targeted
Corpus Christi College, which closed its doors after merging with two other schools in 2018, was the victim of an arson attempt on Sunday, April 13. Debris and wood were stacked in the gym and set ablaze.

Swift Response by Authorities
The PSNI and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service quickly put out the fire, preventing further damage. Police urge parents to ensure their children avoid the site and ask for any information related to the incident.

Additional Incident
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service faced an attack while responding to a separate fire at a forest park in West Belfast. Firefighters were forced to retreat due to stone-throwing incidents.
