Chilly Days Ahead: Northern Ireland Weather Forecast

After a mild and sunny weekend across Northern Ireland, the new week is set to bring colder temperatures with it.

Met Office Cold Snap Warning

The Met Office has warned that a spell of rain will move south across the country on Monday, bringing wintry showers in the north. Temperatures are expected to drop below average by Tuesday, with Scotland possibly experiencing -4°C. Daytime temperatures may range from 5-8°C.

Colder Northeasterly Winds

Deputy Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, Chris Bulmer, explains that cold northeasterly winds will bring wintry showers, mainly limited to hills. Overnight frosts are likely to return.
