Excitement Builds: Northern Ireland Squad Revealed for March Friendlies

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill will name his first squad of 2025 later today.
Preparing for Key Matches
He is gearing up for games against Switzerland and Sweden later this month. His side host the Swiss on Friday, March 21, and then travel to Stockholm to face Sweden on Tuesday, March 25. The double-header will be vital preparation for O'Neill and his players as they look ahead to the start of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in September. Northern Ireland will face Luxembourg, Slovakia and the winners of the Nations League playoff between Germany and Italy in that campaign.
Key Player Updates
It has been reported that striker Josh Magennis could miss out on this latest squad, alongside Ross McCausland. Both could end up on the standby list for the double-header. Ross County's Ronan Hale is expected to be included after getting clearance following his switch from the Republic of Ireland. Fans will be keen to see if Liverpool star Conor Bradley is included. He has been recovering from a muscle injury sustained in the Reds' 2-2 draw at Aston Villa on February 19. Liverpool boss Arne Slot said last week Bradley could be out for a 'few weeks' but no update has been issued since.
