TV Presenter and DJ Ryan Hand Caught Driving Twice Over Legal Alcohol Limit

TV presenter and DJ Ryan Hand was more than twice the legal drink drive limit when he left his own lane and crashed into an oncoming car, a court heard today (thurs).
Background and Charges
Hand had been DJing at the Irish Open in Royal Co. Down that day when he opted to get behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 car. A prosecuting lawyer told the court that Hand's blood alcohol level was almost two and a half times the legal limit of 80.
Court Proceedings
Defence counsel confirmed Hand's guilty pleas and expressed his remorse. Despite Hand's plea for a minimal driving ban, District Judge Amanda Brady imposed an 18-month ban and fines totaling £500.
