A Co Down rep has called on the council to tap into the profitable electric car charging industry amidst concerns over the limited availability of charging points in Newry City. Newry, Mourne and Down District Council (NMDDC) has approved 18 new Electric Vehicle (EV) charging locations as part of a green energy scheme. Calls have been made for the council to develop a more strategic approach as terraced homes risk being left behind without access to EV charging points.
