Residents in a close-knit village in Co Down have been left 'shocked and concerned' after a body was found on a beach.

On Wednesday afternoon, police, forensics, and the Coastguard attended the scene on Millisle beach in the Donaghadee Road area. It's understood they were alerted to the scene after a dog walker found a body on the beach. In an update issued on Wednesday evening, police confirmed the body has now been removed from the scene.
