Alleged Racist Assault: Man Faces Court Charges

A man is due to appear in court on Friday, April 25, following an alleged hate crime incident in the John Street area of West Belfast.

Charges and Arrest

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, attempting to inflict Grievous Bodily Harm, possessing an offensive weapon, and two counts of common assault.

Police Statement

According to APSNIspokesperson, the charges are in connection to a racially-motivated hate crime incident on Thursday, March 27. All charges are set to be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
