Lurgan Man Found Guilty of 10-Year Child Sex Crime Spree

A Lurgan man has been found guilty of nine sex offences against six children over the course of a 10-year period.
Conviction: Patrick Lavery, residing on Ballynamoney Road in Lurgan, was convicted at Craigavon Crown Court for nine child sex offenses that occurred between 1999 and 2009.
Charges: The 40-year-old faced charges including gross indecency and indecent assault on boys and girls, as well as sexual assault. One victim described him as highly manipulative and dangerous, evading justice for a decade.
Sentencing: Lavery, found guilty on all charges, has been remanded in custody with sentencing scheduled for Thursday, September 4.
