Police Seeks Witnesses to 'Shocking' Stabbing Incident in Armagh

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a man was stabbed inside licensed premises in a Co Armagh village over the weekend.

Incident Details:
At around 9.20pm on Sunday, March 30, police received a report of a stabbing inside licensed premises in the Concession Road area of Crossmaglen. The man, aged in his 40s, suffered 'deep lacerations to his hand' and 'a number of more superficial wounds to his head and neck.' He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Arrest and Appeal:
Police have appealed to those who 'bravely restrained' the alleged perpetrator to come forward to assist with the investigation. A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences shortly after the incident and remains in custody.

Detective's Statement:
Detective Sergeant Dougherty said, 'We received a report that a man had been stabbed at around 9.20pm inside licensed premises in the Concession Road area. The man, aged in his 40s, suffered deep lacerations to his hand and a number of more superficial wounds to his head and neck. He attended hospital for treatment.'
