Tragic End: One-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Magherafelt Man

A man has died after a serious one-vehicle crash in Magherafelt. Details of the Incident

At around 12.10pm on Sunday, June 1, authorities were alerted to a serious crash involving a silver Peugeot partner van on the Grange Road in Magherafelt. The driver, identified as 54-year-old Tony Wright from the Magherafelt area, suffered severe injuries and succumbed to them shortly after being taken to the hospital. Inspector Cherith Adair from the PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit stated, "Officers responded to reports of a significant road traffic collision on the Grange Road. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of emergency services, the driver passed away following the incident. Our investigation into the crash is ongoing, and we urge anyone with relevant information or footage to assist us."
