Tributes have been pouring in following the announcement that Pope Francis has died this morning, aged 88.

First Minister Michelle O'Neill Pays Respects
In a statement, His Eminence, Cardinal Farrell announced that the Pontiff had passed away at 7:35 am local time on Easter Monday. Among those paying their respects were First Minister Michelle O'Neill, who described the Pope as "a man of great faith and a strong, determined leader".

DUP Leader Gavin Robinson's Message
Meanwhile, DUP leader Gavin Robinson said that despite their theological differences, he extended "respectful sympathies to all those grieving his passing".
