Heartfelt Tributes for Beloved Kilrea Mother

Tributes have been paid to a mother-of-one who died suddenly inCo Derryat the weekend.

Investigations Ongoing
Policesaid on Wednesday officers are continuing to work to "establish the full circumstances" after a woman in her 40s was pronounced dead on Sunday in Kilrea. She has been named locally as "much-loved daughter", "loving mother", and "dear sister" Jolene McDaid.

Recent Developments
In a statement on Wednesday, a spokesperson for thePSNIsaid a man in his 30s who had been arrested previously has now been released on police bail. "A man aged 38, arrested by detectives investigating the sudden death of a woman in Kilrea, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries," the spokesperson said. "The woman, aged in her 40s, was sadly pronounced dead on Sunday, 9th March. Officers are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the woman's death."

Heartfelt Messages
In a movingsocial media post,a family member wrote: "I can't even try to imagine a life without you in it. I wish I could wake up and for it to all be a bad dream. Rest easy beautiful, I hope you're at peace. I love you sis️." A friend said: "What a shock to find out the loss of a beautiful friend with a beautiful soul. Words can not express how loved you were and how much you will be sadly missed by many. Thank you for always being there for me over the years and for the support you gave me."

Jolene McDaid is described in a family notice as "much loved daughter of Marlene and Vincent, loving Mother of Josh, Dear sister of Vinnie, Anthony, Christle, Glen and the late James also a loving Auntie".
