Man Suffers 'Serious Injuries' in Hit-and-Run Incident in Killyleagh

Arrest Made After Hit-and-Run
A pedestrian was taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' after being struck by a car in Co Down. Police in Killyleagh are appealing for information after a man was hit by a car which made off from the scene on Friday night. A woman in the area at the time narrowly avoided being involved in the same incident.
Police Statement
The PSNI arrested a woman hours later in the Newtownabbey area, over 20 miles from where the incident took place. A PSNI spokesperson said that an arrest has been made in connection to the collision. The incident occurred around 8.15pm, when a white Nissan Juke struck a male pedestrian in the area of Braeside Gardens. The driver fled the scene, and police are currently conducting further inquiries.
