Heartbreak in Co Antrim as Cats Brutally Murdered

Pet owners have expressed their horror after four cats were "found murdered" in Ballymenathis week.
Disturbing Discovery
The four cats were part of a group of nine that had been reported missing since the beginning of May this year in the Ballee Drive area of the Co Antrim town. They were found dead this week, with two of the cats being tied up in a plastic shopping bag, sparking outrage among cat owners in the area who are now worried for the safety of their pets.
Heartbroken Families
Belfast Live spoke to the daughter of one of the cat owners, Francesca, who said that her mum is completely heartbroken that two of her beloved cats have been killed as she appealed for people to look after their pets.
Investigation Underway
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is currently investigating the incident with a spokesperson saying: “Animal Welfare has received a complaint regarding several missing cats. An investigation is being undertaken by Animal Welfare Officers following the discovery of several dead cats in the Ballee Drive area.”
