Emmerdale Star Opens Up About Her Children's Rare Health Condition

Emmerdale star Laura Norton has opened up about the “tough decision” to go public with her children’s health condition.

Diagnosis: Laura shares children Jesse, four, and Ronnie, two, with former soapstar Mark Jordon. Both were diagnosed with Usher Syndrome, a rare genetic condition causing vision and hearing loss.

Advocacy: Laura and Mark are now trustees of the Cure Usher Syndrome charity, campaigning for awareness and funds to help the deafblind community.

Hope for a Cure: Despite no current treatment, the couple holds onto hope that a cure will be found in their children's lifetime, keeping them motivated in their mission.
