Tragic Crash Claims Life of Elderly Woman in Co Donegal

A woman in her 70s has died following a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Co Donegal.

Details of the Incident

The collision involving a car and a van occurred on the R245 at Bunlin Bridge in Milfordat around 7.30 pm on Friday evening. The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the van, a man in his 50s, suffered non life-threatening injuries. The road closure remains in place as investigations continue.

Gardai's Appeal

Gardai have urged any witnesses to the incident, especially those with camera footage in the area between 7.15 pm and 7.45 pm, to come forward. Tips can be shared with Milford Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line. Investigations are ongoing.
