EastEnders has aired another twist for Zack Hudson (James Farrar) as he spent the night with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) behind the back of her fiancé Peter Beale (Thomas Law). Last week, Zack survived a shocking car crash after he threatened to kidnap Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) after finding out he is the teen's biological dad. After Teddy's (Roland Manookian) car ploughed into a lake, Zack feared dead died but had actually escaped the clutches of the Mitchell family as he feared for his life. Barney was also told the truth about his paternity after Zack pressured him into leaving the Square. Zack is also father to baby Peach, who was tragically stillborn, and his young daughter Dolly but viewers think he is set to become a dad for the fourth time.

Lauren's Night with Zack

Across the Square, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) was brutally confronted by the anger that her fiancé Peter Beale (Thomas Law) feels regarding the diagnosis of son Jimmy Beale with severe sight-impairment, blaming Lauren's drug-taking while pregnant. Following an upsetting encounter with Peter, Lauren headed off to break her sobriety by getting a drink at the Queen Vic - but was refused by fellow alcoholic Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). Heading instead to Harry's Barn, Lauren demanded a drink but was refused by Gina Knight (Francesca Henry), and proceeded to get angry before Zack entered and encouraged her to leave. Back at Zack's flat, Lauren still wanted to drink, but Zack stopped her and persuaded her to stay and talk. As Lauren recounted her issues with Peter, Zack revealed his situation with Barney, and both felt they had failed as the parents they wanted to be. However, after Zack expressed how lucky Lauren's family was to have her, they leant into physical affection for each other before sharing a passionate kiss. On Tuesday (June 3), Lauren woke up at Zack's flat and headed to the café to meet Peter and Jimmy. However, Peter was reluctant to let Lauren help with their baby as she stayed out all night. Later in the episode, following a private hospital appointment, Peter split up with Lauren as he blamed her for Jimmy's condition and threatened to take their two sons away from her. However, there could be a new twist as EastEnders fans are now convinced Lauren and Zack shared a passionate night together and will fall pregnant with another baby. Taking to X, one person wrote: "And it was set up so that Lauren & Zack would sleep together baby no I’ve lost count #EastEnders." A second simply said: "Baby no 4 or something #EastEnders", while a third chimed in: "Pregnant by the end of the week #EastEnders."
