Seamus Maguire, a victim of the troubles from Aghagallon, was murdered and secretly buried during the mid 1970s. The Independent Commission for the Location of Victims’ Remains (ICLVR) has issued a fresh appeal for information pertaining to his case, emphasizing the need for new leads to identify potential search sites.

Despite ongoing efforts since the case was referred in 2022, the commission is yet to pinpoint a specific search site in the Aghagallon/Derryclone area. The head of the investigation, Mark Pickard, stressed the importance of new information to solve the nearly 50-year-old mystery.
