The 2025 Cheltenham Festival Begins
The wait is finally over as the 2025 Cheltenham Festival gets going this afternoon with seven races at the world-famous Prestbury Park. The feature race of Day One is the Champion Hurdle as Constitution Hill bids to regain his title after missing last year’s race. The defending champion State Man is back for another crack, but the leading challenger appears to be Gordon Elliott’s star mare Brighterdaysahead.
First Race - Michael O'Sullivan Supreme Novices' Hurdle
The first race is the Michael O'Sullivan Supreme Novices' Hurdle, named in memory of the leading Irish jockey, who tragically died falling a fall at Thurles last month.
