High Stakes at Cheltenham: Champion Hurdle Act Begins

A mouthwatering week of racing kicks off at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival with the exciting Champion Hurdle event. Constitution Hill will lead the headlines as the eight-year-old bids to continue his unbeaten record over hurdles in the Champion Hurdle (4pm) after missing last year's meeting.
Nicky Henderson's Star Performer
The Nicky Henderson-trained star has overcome a respiratory issue, suspected colic, and lameness since winning the race in 2023. Last year's victor State Man and Gordon Elliott's Brighterdaysahead will also be among the competitors.
Cheltenham's opening roar is sure to be in fine voice once again, creating a poignant moment on this occasion. The first race of the day has been named the Michael O'Sullivan Supreme Novices' Hurdle in honor of the late Irish jockey who passed away last month.
