Heartbreaking Discovery: Man Missing from England Found Deceased on Northern Ireland Beach

A body found on a Northern Ireland beach has been identified as a man missing from Wirral in England. Missing dad Andrew Murphy, 47, was last seen on Saturday, March 29 this year when CCTV captured him at the Aldi on Bebington Road in New Ferry, south of Birkenhead.

Family's Plea for Safe Return
Merseyside Police had issued a number of appeals in efforts to locate him. His disappearance was described by his family as "totally out of character" and they pleaded for his safe return to his "young daughter and partner".

Confirmation of Discovery
It has now been confirmed that Mr Murphy's body was found last month at a beach in Millisle, Co Down. APSNI spokesperson told the Liverpool ECHO: "We can confirm that the body found in the Donaghadee Road area of Millisle on Wednesday, 21st May has been identified. The remains were determined to be male and police are engaging with the family of the deceased. The death is not being treated as suspicious."

Family Confirmation
Mr Murphy's family confirmed to the Wirral Globe newspaper that they had been contacted by local authorities to confirm they had found him. The family said: "Andrew has been found. His body was found on 21st May at Millisle Cove in Northern Ireland. We want to thank everyone again for the support. It has been overwhelming."

Description of Last Appearance
Mr Murphy was last seen wearing an oversized green Michael Kors waterproof rain max down to his knees, a blue dressing gown underneath, blue jeans, black trainers with white soles, and carrying a blue Adidas backpack.
