Hooded Knifeman Strikes North Belfast Takeaway

The staff of a North Belfast takeaway were left shaken after being threatened with a knife by a hooded man on Monday.

Incident Details
Police received reports that a man entered a takeaway on Woodvale Road on April 7, at around 8.15pm, and threatened two female staff members with a knife before fleeing with a sum of cash. The man is described as around 6ft tall and was wearing dark trainers, dark tracksuit bottoms and a navy hoody pulled tightly over his face, along with a blue and white coat.

Staff Safety
The two staff members were not injured during the incident but were left shaken by the ordeal. Detective Sergeant Leeman stated that the suspect approached and left in the direction of Woodvale Avenue, appealing to anyone with relevant information to contact 101, quoting the reference number 1936 07/04/25.
