Obsessed Belfast Student Accused of Disturbing Comments on Incel Forums

Arlo Kilpatrick, 21, from Florenceville Avenue in Belfast, appeared before Belfast Magistrates’ Court facing charges of stalking and threatening communications. The prosecution alleges that Kilpatrick made disturbing comments regarding rape and murder in connection to a woman on Incel forums.

Allegations and Evidence

Law enforcement authorities claim that Kilpatrick posted comments expressing support for violence against women and also took a photo outside the victim's residence. The court heard that Kilpatrick had even composed over 30 love songs for the woman in question, showcasing an unsettling level of obsession.

Escalating Behavior

According to police reports, Kilpatrick's actions intensified after the victim joined the website to halt further posts about her. Screenshots of messages attributed to Kilpatrick include menacing statements like “I hope she dies” and “rape and murder on my mind 24/7”. Kilpatrick reportedly justified his actions by stating they were meant to provoke a reaction rather than as serious threats.

Legal Proceedings

During police interrogation, Kilpatrick acknowledged his comments were inappropriate and intended to upset the woman. His legal counsel highlighted that he has no history of violence and attributed his actions to an attention deficit disorder. Kilpatrick was denied bail and will remain in custody until his next court appearance on May 7.
