On Thursday, Time Out unveiled its list of the top 11 best cities for food in the UK. Among these cities, Belfast claimed the 8th spot, praised for its quality restaurants and affordability.

Selection Process

To create this prestigious list, Time Out conducted a survey of over 18,500 individuals worldwide to gauge the food scene across cities. Each city's food quality and affordability were evaluated based on 18 different factors. Additionally, Time Out's panel of food experts contributed their insights to rank the best food cities globally.

Belfast Highlights

Belfast stood out for being the most affordable place in the UK for a coffee, with 75% of respondents acknowledging the city's coffee prices as budget-friendly. Despite this, concerns were raised about the affordability of bars in Belfast.

In celebration of Belfast's culinary achievements, Time Out's local expert compiled a list of the 14 best restaurants in the city for 2025.
