A Belfast man has been named as the winner of an award from The King’s Trust after he has transformed his life, going from living week-to-week in a highly stressed state to following his passion and setting up a sustainable clothing brand.

Jack, 30, scooped the NatWest Thrive Enterprise Award, which recognizes young people who have overcome barriers to create their own sustainable business or social enterprise through The King’s Trust Enterprise program. With newfound structure, a five-year plan, and improved mental health, Jack’s journey from stress to success is truly inspiring.

After receiving support from The King’s Trust, Jack launched WAK-O, a circular, “slow-fashion” brand that upcycles old materials into new products. His commitment to sustainability remains at the core of his business, empowering him to create a work-life balance and pursue his goals with vigor.
