Emergency Response at Belfast City Airport Due to Plane Technical Issue

Emergency services were called to Belfast City Airport this evening after a technical issue was identified with a landing plane. Police, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service all responded to the scene following an emergency onboard an Emerald Airlines flight. The incident involved a positioning flight from Edinburgh to Belfast City Airport without passengers aboard. The aircraft landed safely and was parked as normal. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service inspected the plane with thermal imaging cameras to ensure no concerns. They concluded their investigation and left the scene by 5.45pm.
