Terrifying Hijacking Incident Unfolds at Night

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following the report of a hijacking incident on Saturday night. Shortly after 10pm, two men exited commercial premises on the O’Neill Road in Newtownabbey and encountered two suspicious males near their van. One of the males approached them, demanding the keys to the vehicle. When refused, the suspect brandished a handgun, striking one of the men before fleeing with the van. The armed suspect is described as approximately six ft tall, athletic build, dressed in dark clothing and a balaclava. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
