Celebrating Northern Ireland's Culinary Excellence at Irish Restaurant Awards 2025

Northern Ireland's thriving hospitality industry was celebrated at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2025 as a number of restaurants and cafes were recognised for their work across Ulster.
In its 16th year, the Irish Restaurant Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the existing, and up-and-coming talent in the sector across both sides of the border. In the lead-up to the final on Monday night, hospitality businesses from across Northern Ireland were selected to represent their county at the Ulster Regional Awards last month before heading to the All Ireland Final.
President of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, Seán Collender, said: "At a time when our industry continues to face significant challenges, it’s more important than ever to come together and celebrate the strength of Ireland’s food and hospitality sector. These Awards are about acknowledging the incredible talent and tireless work of those in our restaurants, cafés, and kitchens across the country.
They shine a light on the resilience and creativity that define our industry. Behind every meal served is a team of passionate professionals dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences.
This year’s Awards have once again highlighted the extraordinary standard of culinary talent across every region. I want to extend heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners and nominees, your commitment and passion inspire us all." Seven restaurants, cafes, and people from across Northern Ireland came away with a 'Best in Ulster' in their respective categories for 2025.
Jonny Cuddy from Ispini Charcuterie in Co Tyrone was not only named Ulster's Local Food Hero, he came away with the All-Ireland win in the category while Lir Seafood also took the All-Ireland win for Best Sustainable Practices.
